HP 564XL are not all the same capacity! |
|
I just found out that there is an 800 page 564XL cart and a 290 page 564XL cart! Why are they both named the same? You have to look real close for either the page or the CB321WN number for 800 pages or the CB 322WN for 290. Do not just go by the "XL" thinking you are getting extra ink. |

Works, but Runs Out So Quickly |
|
This ink works and is easy to install, but it runs out far too quickly. It seems like I just installed new ink, and the next thing you know it's running out. My particular printer does NOT take the XL version of these ink cartridges, so I'm stuck with these normal versions. If you have the option, then I'd recommend buying the XL version (better bang for your buck) - but make sure to check carefully and be absolutely certain that your particular printer will take the XL cartridges. |

Buy another brand printer |
HP has really raised the level with the printer ink scam. They must play golf with the corporate executives who work in the men's razor blade industry. My HP printer has a lot of great features but aside from having terrible drivers, it runs out of ink FAST and I only print occasionally. The older HP printer I had previously was alright and had ink cartridges that lasted many months with the same usage as with my new printer.
So, now we basically have to buy their XL cartridges to get the same life as their previous "standard" cartridges, all for a much higher price than before, and they package new printers with cartridges that are ultra low on ink and assume we're all just dumb hicks who won't notice.
No more HP printers after this one. |

Where did the ink go? |
|
Someone once observed to me that printer manufacturers were sort of like drug dealers: They lure you in with the free or cheap product (the printer) and then they trap you and break you as you keep coming back for more (the ink). My photosmart premium works wonderfully. I just feel as though these ink cartridges are empty almost as soon as you put them in. I tried refurbished cartridges but they seem to screw up the printer. So, they have me hooked. Either I kick the printing habit or I continue to shoot this cyan, magenta and yellow substance down my drains. |

Like this ink. |
|
I like this ink cartridge. Now it comes with a window on the side of the cartridge so you can see if it is really out of ink. |
